Afonso Cunha Somsen

Afonso Cunha Somsen joined Franco Zibaia in 2025.
Prior to joining Franco Zibaia, Afonso worked at the Centro Hospitalar Universitário de Lisboa Central (now the Local Health Unit of São José), where he prepared procedures and monitored the execution of multiple public contracts (2020-2024), having started his traineeship as a lawyer in 2024.
Afonso obtained his degree in Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon in 2024 and has postgraduate training in Theory and Practice of Administrative and Tax Litigation from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon (2025).
At Franco Zibaia, he has developed his activity mainly in the areas of Administrative Law, Public Procurement, Labour Law and Civil Service, including as a secondee. He also carried out legal analyses in other related areas.
Afonso was admitted to the Portuguese Bar Association as a lawyer in 2026.
